Quick W-1 notes:

Ch-Ch-Ch Changes!!! WORLD-1’s “Dead End” event was anything but a dead end, as the power of the company has shifted totally to the side of Team Symbol. All three members were successful last Sunday via pinfall including Chris Rockwell’s V3 defense of the WORLD-1 championship overly the former ROH and ECW World champion Jerry Lynn. But it was the return of Denver Street that shocked everyone. For months it had been speculated that Street was the real brains behind Team Symbol and it came true on May 22. Where does this leave Richard Guille? Sources tell WORLD1Online.com that Guille was always just legal representation of Team Symbol and that Denver Street will announce his new position on July 18.

Call it a three month absence but Steve Corino, Ricky Reyes, and Alex Anthony all switched affiliations at Dead End. Corino saved his son Colby from an attack from Chris Rockwell during the aftermath of Rockwell’s match with Jerry Lynn. The elder Corino told Rockwell that if he thinks that he is bad, then Corino has done worse. If he thinks he is a cheater, that Corino is a Legend. Rockwell asked the fans if they wanted to see Rockwell defend the WORLD-1 title vs. Corino on July 18 and surprisingly the WORLD-1 fans were suddenly cheering Corino. The fans accepted but were quickly stunned when Rockwell announced it would be Chris Rockwell defending the title against COLBY Corino at Heat Stroke!

Being the North American champion is a hard job. Alex Anthony held the title for ten months and now Ricky Reyes, going into his fifth month, decided to sign with Rob Dimension Enterprises! Yes, Rob Dimension has now created his own company. Many fans are aware that Rob Dimension ran the very successful Premier Wrestling Federation (PWF) from 2001 to 2003 but on May 24, Dimension held a press conference to announce the formation of Rob Dimension Enterprises, where he will manage the professional careers of not only pro-wrestlers but actors and musical acts.

“I am already the smartest man in wrestling but now I will go beyond and do things that no one has ever done before!” Dimension said of his new company.

He was already seen at Ring Of Honor’s television tapings talking to members of ROH and even managed a pre-show match up. Now with the dominant North American champion as his cornerstone, this new company may take off!

Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1 was sad to see the tenure of GPS, Gordon P. Samsonite, come to an end on May 22. GPS, former B4W and North American champion, was defeated by long time rival Tommy Thunda in a Loser Leaves Town match. There was even a young kid seen crying as the popular GPS was escorted from the building. WORLD-1 wishes Mr. Samsonite all the best in his future.

Alex Anthony has seen that his ways with BLKFriday was wrong, dissolved the group, and asked the WORLD-1 fans for forgiveness.

“Sometimes as champion you don’t realize the pressure you are under.” Said Anthony, who was the North American champion for 10 months. “I let people like Sabian influence me. But no more. I am a veteran and defending this wonderful country of ours for great fans that come to WORLD-1. I was letting them down. The real Alex Anthony is back!!!”

Anthony will actually have a chance to come into Heat Stroke as the North American champion again as he will challenge Reyes at the TWA event in Plymouth Meeting, PA on June 5. Visit www.TWAProWrestling.com for tickets.

Super Sweet was seen talking to Jerry Lynn for almost an hour after the Jerry Lynn seminar. A few members of the roster mentioned that there was something different in Sweet’s eyes.

WORLD-1 would like to thank the great Jerry Lynn, not only for his amazing matchup with Chris Rockwell, but for his help with the WORLD-1 and other freelance wrestlers with his seminar. Every attendee reported how much they learned in only two hours with Lynn. W-1 recommends to all independent promotions to bring in Jerry Lynn to help out their young crew!

WORLD-1 NEWS: W-1 DEAD END IN JUST OVER 2 WEEKS!!!

With just over two weeks away till Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1’s return to the Knights Of Columbus in Jackson, New Jersey and even though it is spring time, W-1 is heating up!!!

Former ECW and ROH World champion Jerry Lynn will make his return to W-1 for the first time in six years as he will challenge the current WORLD-1 heavyweight champion Chris Rockwell.

Lynn was in the decision match to crown the first W-1 champion in February 2004, barely losing to Pro-Wrestling ZERO1’s Masato Tanaka. Now Jerry Lynn is back and wants to make history and become W-1’s 6th champion.

Jerry Lynn will also be holding a very special seminar from 5-7pm (after the event) at the Knights of Columbus. The cost of the seminar is only $40 pre-paid. If you are paying the day of the cost is $45. We highly recommend that you register though to make sure you get a good seat. Email WORLD1Wrestling@GMAIL.com for details. All stages or pro-wrestling experience will benefit from a man that has traveled the world working for not only ECW and ROH but the WWE, WCW, Japan, Global, and is known as one of pro-wrestling’s best wrestlers.

WORLD-1 champion Chris Rockwell and members of Symbol have been telling anyone that will listen that Rockwell will no doubt make it through his match with Jerry Lynn successfully. Rockwell has told WORLD1Online.com that his main goal is eclipsing Ricky Landell’s record six defenses to become the greatest W-1 champion of all time. Masato Tanaka defended the title three times, Landell six, Steve Corino five, and The Beast none (lost one minute after winning the title making him the worst W-1 champion. He has since been released.).

If you have read www.ZEROONEUSA.com you will know by now that W-1 tag team champion Steve and Colby Corino were not able to tour Japan this week due to passport issues. The elder Corino had a scathing statement about the US Passport Office on www.CorinoWrestling.com but was asked to take it down. Pro-Wrestling ZERO1 will be bringing the tag team champions over soon to defend the titles, but now they have to get ready for May 23 and The Funky Fresh Boyz.

“It’s disappointing that I am not making my in-ring debut in Japan this tour but I know that I will. I can’t dwell on it because The Funky Fresh Boyz are getting a title shot on May 23. I am going to do my best to keep this title in my grasp. I might be 13 but pro-wrestling is serious to me and I like the feel of the belt around my waist.” Said Colby Corino. When the prodigy was asked about his father’s relationship with Rob Dimension he said, “I never liked Rob. I don’t understand what my father sees in him but my dad is a very fair person. He told me that I don’t have to listen to Rob and that Rob is important to his business affairs. As long as Dimension doesn’t interfere in our matches or say bad things to great fans of WORLD-1 then all I can do is give him a chance.”

Colby Corino’s first T-shirts will debut at W-1’s Dead End. The first 25 shirts will go for only $10!!! You can reserve your shirt and receive a special W-1 coupon by emailing WORLD1Wrestling@GMAIL.com.

When Dimension was told of these comments he said: “Kid better learn how to play ball and quick. Steve Corino would be NOTHING without me.” What does that mean? Steve Corino was not around to comment but I am sure he will not be happy to hear what Dimension had to say. Speaking of Dimension, he will not only be managing one half of the W-1 tag team champions at Dead End but also managing The Monster C in the Nuclear 8 Gauntlet Match.

North American champion Ricky Reyes will have his hands full with Damian Dragon at Dead End as he will try and make his V5 defense of the title. Reyes has defended the title not only in W-1 but also in the TWA, WWWA, and WXW C4.

“I want to bring true respect to Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1 and this North American title.” Said the champion, who is never much of a talker. He usually leads with actions. “WORLD-1 doesn’t get the recognition in the US that I believe we should because we don’t have the ‘internet savvy’ guys that the other regional groups have but I believe we have a great roster. Sawyer, VSK, Anthony, Cole, Harris, Shields, Sabian, and now Dragon all want to be the North American champion. It’s my job to get out there and defend this title. It’s about stealing the show. Come May 23rd I know that Damian Dragon is going to bring his best and I am ready. W-1 fans get ready because Reyes-Dragon is going to be the match of the night!”

Many wrestlers and W-1 fans are taking notice that the winner of the Nuclear 8 Gauntlet could be the favorite to win this years Shinya Hashimoto Memorial Tournament in August. 2008 Winner Ricky Reyes and 2009 Winner Ryan Sawyer are already entered automatically and over the next six weeks a new wrestler will be named for the 1 night tournament to celebrate the life of “The Destruction King”.

Two men will enter, one man will leave WORLD-1 at Dead End as the four year feud between Tommy Thunda and GPS will come to a head on May 23 in a Loser Leaves Town Street Fight. Although Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1 has always tried to make itself a family friendly entertainment show, President Mike Kehner has announced that this match will have E-Style Rules meaning ANYTHING GOES!!!

“I believe, as president, that it is my job to put the best matches out there. Sometimes these matches have to be settled in a way that is different then a regular match. Tommy Thunda and GPS will not only battle in a Street Fight but they may start a precedent of pushing the envelope in W-1.” Said President Kehner.

WORLD-1 presents DEAD END

Live in Jackson NJ, May 23rd at the Knights of Columbus (401 Bartley Road). 2pm bell time!!

Signed so far:

North American #1 contenders Gauntlet
VSK vs. Alex Anthony vs. Ryan Sawyer  vs. Adam Cole vs. Shane Harris Vs Super Sweet
Former North American champion Alex Anthony had a shot at Reyes this past weekend and came so very close to recapturing the gold. Adam Cole and Sam Shields are two young hungry guys fairly new to the WORLD-1 landscape, VSK took Reyes to the limit back in February. Super Sweet, the most lovable person on the WORLD-1 roster is also a former North American champion. Ryan Sawyer is the 2009 Shinya Hashimoto Tournament winner and a former partner of Ricky Reyes. Everyone wants a shot at the champion, but will Reyes even be the champion when it comes time for the defense?

WORLD-1 tag team titles
The Corino’s (c) vs. Funky Fresh Boyz
The Funky Fresh Boys earned their contract in WORLD-1 back at VAST ENERGY and have been on a path to the top ever since. Last show, the duo defeated the two most popular athletes in the history of WORLD-1 when they defeated Super Sweet and GPS. Steve and Colby Corino hope to still have the Tag Team titles when they come to Jackson NJ on May 23rd, after having a title defense scheduled in Tokyo, Japan just a few weeks earlier.

Grudge Match
Reiko DMF vs. Kid America
Kid America has been annoyed by Team Symbol for the last several months, particularly by Reiko DMF and his manager Richard P Guille. Kid America has promised to win this one and wave Old Glory high and make everyone proud. Reiko has promised his leader, Chris Rockwell that this will be a night for Team Symbol.

WORLD-1 Women’s title
Roxie Cotton (c) w/Super Sweet vs. Tina San Antonio
Can anyone stop Roxie Cotton? One lady claims she can, Tina San Antonio. Tina has been carving her own niche out on the east coast circuit the last several months and wants nothing more than to be the one who derails the Women’s champion, Roxie Cotton. Cotton has victories over Alison Danger, Rob Dimension and Annie Social.

Loser Leaves Town, Street Fight
Tommy Thunda w/Richard Guille vs. GPS
GPS has not been able to shake off Team Symbol. He has been attacked and jumped from Reiko DMF in the past and most recently by Tommy Thunda.  Both men have finally stated that enough is enough and the challenge has been layed down. On May 23rd these two will might one last time in a Street Fight match, and if that is not big enough…the loser of this match is GONE from WORLD-1!

North American title
Ricky Reyes (c) vs. Damian Dragon
Damian Dragon came to WORLD-1 with a blaze of energy but things seemed to stall when Reiko DMF attacked his wife. After finally getting revenge, Damian resumed his winning ways and his quest to take on the North American champion. After much heated deliberation, President Mike Kehner made the call to give Dragon this North American title shot based on his past performances. Reyes has promised that Damian will never forget the night he stepped in the ring with the North American champion.

WORLD-1 title
Chris Rockwell (c) w/Richard Guille vs. Jerry Lynn

What can be said about Jerry Lynn that hasn’t already been said? Jerry Lynn elevates everyone he steps in the ring with, and win or lose, his opponent comes out a better athlete for having been in the ring with him. Does Chris Rockwell see this is a huge learning experience, or a huge stepping stone? Rockwell may pretend to joke around but make no mistake about it, when it comes to the WORLD-1 title, Chris Rockwell is all business, and Jerry Lynn is what this business is all about.
