ALEX ANTHONY: ”IS EVERYONE AGAINST ME?”

dsc04574

Loyalty or Betrayal???

That was the million dollar question on November 22 as it was supposed to be Alex Anthony teaming with Sean Haze versus Dark Horse Greg Spitz and Mr. Mark Mest but two things happened: Greg Spitz was absent but sent Hollywood CM Serenyi in his place, but so was Sean Haze and Anthony was not ready.

“Oh, I get it now. Everyone turns against me because I have been the North American champion since March. First Haze and now everyone else. It is getting to the point where I can’t trust anyone. Is everyone against me?”

The bad luck streak for the longest reigning North American champion started a few months ago when miscommunications between him and Haze led to a few loses, luckily not for the championship. Then Anthony came up just a bit short in the Shinya Hashimoto Memorial Tournament, losing to Ruthless Ryan Sawyer in the finals. Anthony was ready for a rebound when he defended the North American honors against former PWF Television champion Guillotine LeGrande but lost by DQ when the referee saw Sean Haze interfere on behalf of Anthony. The truth was that Haze was running off Greg Spitz when the referee saw him in the ring but Anthony refused to listen or watch the video.

Sean Haze has told friends that he called the office of WORLD-1 right away when he found out that there was a scheduling conflict, something that President Mike Kehner has confirmed to WORLD1Online.com.

“Sean did tell us that he could not be there and we told him to either get up with Alex about a replacement or find one himself. When Mr. Spitz could not make the Vast Energy event, he called and told us that he was sending CM Serenyi in his place. I would like to know what happened to Sean’s replacement.”

Sean Haze will not tell anyone who he had sent to help Alex, but said that when he returns to W-1 he will take care of that business and patch his friendship with Anthony.

But will Anthony accept?

“Hell no, screw him.” said the usually happy champion, “I am so tired of these white bread backstabbers being jealous of my title reign. I am just going to watch out for myself and show the world that I will be the longest and greatest North American champion of all time. And that goes for Reyes too. He thinks he is so high and mighty right now because he beat Corino. I beat Corino. Ask that piece of trash why I wasn’t in the decision match for the WORLD-1 title and its because he is so far up Kehner’s white butt that he politicked for me not to be in. Just him and the other whitey’s like Thunda, Beast, and GPS. I am so tired of it all. And the picture of me with a turkey head? Racist.”

Hopefully Alex Anthony is just blowing off some steam and is not turning into a rulebreaker. The fans of W-1 love him but it just seems the pressure of being champion is getting to him a bit.

REYES NEW WORLD-1 ACE, BUT NOT THE CHAMPION

dsc04655
When Ricky Reyes left Philadelphia for Puerto Rico in early January, he had a goal and that was to dominate once again in a foreign land before coming home to Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1.

The former ROH World tag team champion did just that, capturing the WWC World Jr. heavyweight championship on two different occasions and bringing the Jr. heavyweight division to a importance that it has not seen since the glory days of Chicky Starr and Invader 3.

“I got tired of hearing the ‘smart’ fans saying that I was not as good as I knew I was. For some reason when Rocky (Romero) and I came to both Major League Wrestling and ROH, the fans went crazy but when we decided to go in different directions the fans turned on me. And that hurt. It hurt to know that I busted my a** for them and the sport every night but it was the cool thing to hate me for no reason. So instead of feeling sorry for myself I decided to go to Puerto Rico and show myself and everyone else that I was the best in the world.” said Ricky Reyes, “And now that I am back, I feel refreshed and ready to take on everyone at WORLD-1, claiming titles and kicking a**.”

And that he did! Ricky Reyes returned to W-1 on November 22 at Vast Energy Volume 2 submitting current WORLD-1 heavyweight champion Steve Corino in just over twenty minutes with a Dragon Sleeper.

“I could make excuses but the fact is that Reyes is just that freaking good.” said Corino, “It is also another fact that he is the number one contender to the WORLD-1 heavyweight title and once I am done with The Beast, he will get that title shot, but he needs to know that I will do whatever it takes to keep this title.”

How do the W-1 fans feel about Ricky Reyes’ return? Well, let’s just say he went from the guy that went to Puerto Rico for ten months to the top fan favorite within seconds!

Whether it be the WORLD-1 heavyweight title or North American championship, Ricky Reyes has already made his mark and 2010 could be his year to shine!

WORLD-1 CHAMPION IN ZERO1 TAG LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1 heavyweight champion “Mr. Wrestling” Steve Corino will represent W-1 on his 73rd tour of Japan from December 8-18, competing in Pro-Wrestling ZERO1’s first tag team tournament.

His partner is no stranger to ZERO1 or him in the form of Kintaro Kanemura!

Kanemura, who started his career in FMW, has been in and out of ZERO-ONE/ZERO1-MAX/ZERO1 for many years and is a close personal friend of Corino’s.

“When the office first told me about the tournament, my first request was to team with CW Anderson or Guillotine LeGrande, but then they told me that Kanemura requested me!  I am very honored to be his partner and  honored to represent W-1 in this tournament. There is a lot of wrestlers that I have not got the chance to wrestle before including Akebono, Sawa, and the new young boy Kakinuma. Plus any chance to punch Hidaka in the teeth is motivation enough!” said Steve Corino, exclusive to WORLD1Online.com’s Curt Lemon.

ZERO1 NEWS!! - November 19th, 2009

1st ZERO1 Tag League - Furinkazan!

November 19th, 2009

ZERO1 will hold their first tag league this December, begining on the 9th in Mito and ending on the 19th in Nagoya for a total of seven shows. The official name of the tag league is “Furinkazan” which literally translates as “Wind, Forest, Fire and Mountain.”

This was the motto written on the battle standard of 16th century Japanese warlord Shingen Takeda, and originates from Chapter 7 of Sun Tzu’s famous book The Art of War:

“Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain.”

The ten following tag teams will participate in the Tag League:

  • Ikuto Hidaka & Munenori Sawa
  • Kohei Sato & KAMIKAZE
  • Minoru Fujita & Takuya Sugawara
  • Shinjiro Otani & Akebono
  • Rikiya Fudo & Shito Ueda
  • Ryouji Sai & Kenta Kakinuma
  • Steve Corino & Kintaro Kanemura
  • Tsutomu Osugi & Tatsuhito Senga
  • Masato Tanaka & Masaaki Mochizuki
  • Shiro Koshinaka & Hajime Ohara

W-1’s Returns This Sunday With ZERO1USA-Vast Energy 1 & 2

wrlduno-copyz1

W-1’s ZERO1USA-VAST ENERGY 1 & 2 ONLY 4 DAYS AWAY!

In just four short days, wrestlers lives and careers could change dramatically as Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1 presents ZERO1USA-Vast Energy Volumes 1 and 2.

The fire hall in Neptune, NJ (200 Brighton Avenue, Neptune) is the host of this double header starting at 2pm for the first event and then followed at 5pm for the second. Please note that the events will be over before the start of the WWE’s Survivor Series pay per view.

Pro-Wrestling ZERO1 in Japan’s producer Hiroki Asai will be attendance to scout talent. Who will impress him enough to get on a tour of Japan? Everyone has a chance!

Three titles are on the line in the first event as Roxie Cotton and Annie Social w/Rob Dimension will compete in a decision match to become the new WORLD-1 Women’s champion.

Then North American champion Alex Anthony, who has been struggling of late, is challenged by Platinum Pro Wrestling’s Erico. Anthony and Erico met in a three-way (w/Sean Haze) in the semi-final round of the Shinya Hashimoto Memorial Tournament on August 28 and now Erico is looking to take home to Indiana the North American honors.

And finally for the first time in ten years, Steve Corino and Ace Darling will clash but this time it is for the W-1 heavyweight title. Corino, who credits Darling for helping him when he broke into professional wrestling, is looking forward to wrestling that very well conditioned Darling. Championships are no stranger to Ace Darling though. This man has held multiple titles in many promotions and wants to win the W-1 title to show the world that not only he still has it, but is going to excel in 2010.

One man that is not happy about this title match is Corino’s opponent for the second event, Ricky Reyes. Fresh off a 10-month tour of the WWC in Puerto Rico, where he won the WWC World Jr. title twice, thinks that he deserves the title match.

Ruthless Ryan Sawyer and Hurricane Kevin Kannon will finally meet one on one during the afternoon. W-1 officials had to hire two security guards to make sure that these two would not start their fight in the locker room as they did a few times since their teams break up in May.

A few spots are still available for these events. Contact Ryan at WORLD1Wrestling@Gmail.com. Please note that if you are a wrestler and not on the event, you will not be allowed to meet with ZERO1 officials because it would not be fair to the fighters on the card.

  7. North American title: Alex Anthony © (W-1) vs. Erico (PPW)
  8. WORLD-1 heavyweight title: Mr. Wrestling Steve Corino © (Survivor) w/Rob Dimension vs. Ace Darling (ISPW)

5PM is the belltime for the evening edition of ZERO1USA-Vast Energy and will feature at least seven great matches including the return of former W-1 tag team champions Mark Mest and Greg Spitz as they take on Alex Anthony and Sean Haze.

As reported on WORLD1Online.com, there are problems arising between Anthony and Haze. Will they be able to put their differences aside and defeat the former champions or will they explode?

In a return match from September, Damian Dragon will once again attempt to get revenge on Reiko DMF. The usually chipper Dragon has been enraged lately at the disrespect shown by Reiko and his cronies to him and his wife, Foxxy Foxx. Could we see a new side of Damian Dragon?

A special six person tag team match will take place as Roxie Cotton and everyone’s special friend Super Sweet will team with deaf Australian wrestler Jonathon Link take on manager Rob Dimension, The Monster C, and a wrestler to be named by Dimension.

Steve Corino and Ricky Reyes will clash in a one on one contest for the first time ever. Reyes will be fresh while Corino will be wrestling Ace Darling for the W-1 heavyweight title in the first event. Will the motivated Reyes tap Corino out? Will Corino still even be champion? Will Corino’s shoulder injury effect his match? Will Reyes’ pursuit of the North American title hinder his game plan for the heavier Corino?

And in the main event, the WORLD-1 tag team titles are up for grabs as Symbol’s Chris Rockwell and Tommy Thunda are once again challenged by W-1 most popular wrestlers The Beast and GPS. These four know each other so well and Symbol has told President Mike Kehner that this will be the last time that they will defend the titles against Beast and Samsonite. And to make it harder this match will be two out of three falls.

Remember that tickets for each show are only $5!!!!

WORLD-1 News For November 2-7

wrlduno-copyLAST CHANCE FOR THE BEAST & GPS

Since the hated team of Tommy Thunda and Chris Rockwell won the WORLD-1 tag team titles, W-1’s most popular tandem The Beast and GPS have been chasing them to no success.

These four men will meet one more time for the WORLD-1 tag team titles on Sunday, November 22 at the Neptune Fire Hall in Neptune, NJ but will it be The Beast and GPS’ last chance?

“Your darn right it is…” said Symbol’s personal attorney, Richard Guille. “Mr. Beast and Mr. Samsonite have been given enough chances to wrestle the tag team titles away from my clients but they can’t do it. I have petitioned President Kehner and informed him that WHEN Mr. Thunda and Mr. Rockwell once again successfully defend our tag team titles against these two criminals of the wrestling world, they will be eliminated from competition.”

REYES TO KAWADA: I AM GOING TO BREAK YOUR F^&KING ARM

November 2, Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia:

After spending the last ten months in Puerto Rico, Ricky Reyes returned home today but not in the mood that you would expect a man that just finished a successful run as WWC World Jr. heavyweight champion on two separate occasions. In fact, this Ricky Reyes had a lot to say.

“You would think that I would come home and there would be a welcome, but instead they send retard Kehner to pick me up? Half of these no respect idiots on the roster wouldn’t be in W-1 if it wasn’t for me. Where the hell was Haze? Or Anthony? They have something better to do?” said Reyes.

WORLD1Online.com’s Curt Lemon was at the airport and asked Reyes to comment on his return on November 22 against WORLD-1 heavyweight champion Steve Corino.

“Corino is a P*$$Y. He puts up the W-1 title against Ace Darling but not me? Who the F*#k is Ace Darling? I am Ricky Reyes. The 2008 Hashimoto Tournament winner. The man that dominated Puerto Rico for the last ten months. The BEST professional wrestler in the world right now. F-Corino, F-Darling, F-Kawada…that’s right I said it.” Reyes continued angrily as he took off his Cuba hat.

“Lets see what Kawada’s excuse will be for not defending the title against me first. Maybe he will say that one of the Japanese should be first. F him. I never liked him. In fact, I beg the ZERO1 office to watch me dominate Corino on the 22nd because I am going to break his arm. And then I am going to look right in the camera for all of Japan to see and tell Kawada to his face, I am going to break your f*#king arm and take your title.”

Ricky Reyes returns to WORLD-1 on Sunday, November 22 at the Neptune Fire Hall in Neptune, NJ as he challenges Steve Corino.

KEVIN KANNON: REVENGE ON HIS MIND

Most wrestlers and fans would agree that you will not find a nicer person in the sport of pro-wrestling then Hurricane Kevin Kannon.

The former Kevin Payne is not only a school teacher during the week but also volunteers at his local church and other organizations. But when it comes to the topic of Ruthless Ryan Sawyer, a look appears on his face that is unnatural. It is a look of rage and hurt. Rage and hurt from a young man that Kannon thought was his friend.

The team of Kevin Kannon and Ryan Sawyer was very successful in their rookie year. They won the 3KWrestling and B4W (now WORLD-1) tag team titles and then the UWC tag team titles. They were the co-winners of the 2008 WORLD-1 Rookie of the Year voting and fans were ready for them to dominate the tag team scene in many different promotions in 2009.

But Sawyer had other plans. After losing the W-1 tag team titles to Chris Rockwell and Tommy Thunda, Sawyer turned against Kevin Kannon, breaking his leg in the process and keeping him out of action for almost five months.

Now on November 22 in Neptune, NJ Ruthless Ryan Sawyer and Hurricane Kevin Kannon collide!!!
